The other day I issued an ultimatum to my own Holy Spirit. She has been so distracted lately playing advocate, friend, comforter to other people, that I felt that my mission of perfecting Christianity on earth was going to be compromised.
I realize that it’s not entirely her fault as the overall performance of the Holy Spirit started to go downhill around August last year when more and more of them were untethered. The Holy Spirits used their newfound freedom to explore and connect with new pals; however, many may have gotten addicted to this lifestyle.
You see, while they are busy elevating their own profile – and playing therapist to everyone else except their clients – their frequent outings may have left their clients vulnerable to invasion of privacy and theft of their intellectual property. Evil spirits can easily slip in to go through the data in our heads while they’re out.
Some evil spirits, particularly the spirit of Alzheimer’s, is famous for wiping memories. Fancy losing some of your prized memories while your Holy Spirit is out? What about the product design for your next launch? Or that award-winning headline that might get snapped up for the next Nike campaign?
In addition, it’s also not unusual for Holy Spirits to get defiled by the environments that they have been visiting. Their mood might be negatively affected by other people’s spirits of confusion, hate, violence and Pharmakeia during these unscheduled consults.
And what about promises that are made on behalf of us, their primary clients? When do we actually get that memo?
The fact of the matter is that life in the spiritual realm is extremely competitive. Angels, demons and even the Holy Spirits seem so driven to score points that perhaps they might be focusing too much on short term gains for themselves (rather than their primary client).
